Wiesner Incontinence Clamp is a whole new step in male incontinence care. The designers have extensively analysed the penis anatomy to produce an incontinence clamp that is both effective and comfortable.
The Wiesner Incontinence Clamp is an external medical product used to control leakage of urine - the device compresses of the urethra, preventing the flow of urine.
The user places the penis between the cushions, the hump designed in the under part of the frame concentrates the pressure in the urethra, controlling the urine flow, while the upper part of the frame is designed to release pressure, allowing a correct blood circulation, ensuring maximum comfort.
The closing mechanism has 4 different levels to achieve the proper amount of pressure to prevent urine leakage without discomfort.
Also has three different insertable guides/humps - to personalise the pressure required.
The use of the Wiesner Incontinence Clamp can have a huge impact on the quality of life for men, restoring their confidence and allowing them to enjoy activities that previously could not, like swimming, golfing, tramping and so much more.
Go to toilet every 2-4 hours to empty bladder to prevent urinary tract infections and release pressure of the clamp. When placing it back on the penis reposition the clamp up or down the penis.
Included in box - 1 x clamp, 2 x sets of cushions, 3 x size guides, instruction booklet, storage bag
How to Use:
Suggested guidelines are:
- Wear during waking hours only
- Wear for a minimum of 2 hours and then empty bladder, with a maximum of 4 hours before emptying bladder
- Wear 6 days/week
- The goal in the early stages of recovery after a prostatectomy would be to wear for 4-6 weeks with a goal to ween off
- For men who are further on after surgery and pelvic floor exercises, core strengthening, surgery etc hasn't worked then you may need to use the clamp long-term
- You can use it at the same time as overactive bladder medication such as Oxybutynin or Vesicare
STEP ONE:
Open the incontinence clamp by releasing the catch and lifting up the top part
|
|
STEP TWO:
Remove the bottom silicone pad and choose a size guide to start with - S, M or L. Medium comes already inserted in clamp. Then insert the silicone pad over guide.
|
|
STEP THREE
Place your penis between the silicone rubber pads with the incontinence clamp about halfway down the shaft of your penis. With the guide (knob part) underneath the penis.
|
|
STEP FOUR:
Latch the incontinence clamp to compress the urethra at the level that’s comfortable to you
|
|
Do not overtighten the clamp because the heightened pressure could interfere with the blood circulation or cause skin irritation. It is important that you maintain adequate sensation in your penis so you can feel the device getting painful or irritating. Take off if penis changes colour, become cold, numb or tingling. Do not wear overnight.

Please Note:
Feedback from the clamps have generally been very positive with most men no longer leaking or having reduced leakage. Some men have had minimal or no success and I wonder if this is due to a smaller penis size, multiple surgeries and more damage to bladder neck, nerves, blood vessels, muscles and valves. Please seek the advice with your Urologist or Dotor to ask if the clamp would be right for you. Sharon.
wARRANTY
The Company that makes the clamps don't offer a warranty however, Restore Physiotherapy offers a 3 months warranty due to defects and will replace any part that is defective. This does not cover poor satisfaction with the product, improper use, excessive pressure, breaking it due to dropping, over tightening, over opening the hinge, using incorrect cleaning chemicals, over forcing the guides in and breaking them and general wear ith normal use.
