FEMMEZE is an innovative device designed to:
- improve dignity and self-management of a posterior or back wall vaginal prolapse (sometimes called a rectocele).
- re-align the rectum and re-position the bowel motion to more easily initiate and complete evacuation.
- avoid the need to support the perineum and back wall of the vagina with your thumb/fingers.
- aid women with poor dexterity and flexibility to open their bowels effectively while maintaining independence
The Femmeze® Vagina Trainer is a single user medical device.
A posterior prolapse occurs when the back wall of the vagina no longer has the support of muscles and connective tissue.
With gravity and the weight/size of a full rectum the back wall prolapses into the vagina.
Femmeze helps by supporting the back wall of the vagina, temporarily reducing the prolapse, restoring the vaginal wall and rectum to its more correct position while opening your bowels.
HOW TO USE THE FEMMEZE:
The FEMMEZE ® is shaped like a shoehorn, the paddle end of the device is inserted into the vagina whilst your thumb rests within the recess that is located at the top of the handle and with at least two fingers located within the grooves that are positioned on the reverse of the handle .
To insert the trainer, apply a small amount of a vaginal lubricant (Restore Physio sells a great range of lubricants to add to your order) around the paddle of the trainer gently insert into the vagina. Push onto the back wall of the vagina to help with opening the bowels.
CARING FOR YOUR FEMMEZE:
You should check your device before use for any cracks or rough edges. When using your FEMMEZE ® trainer always wash after every use with hot soapy water, rinsing it well. Wipe dry and store it in its case.
