These glass dilators are strong and thick. Made of ‘Annealed Borosilicate Glass (Pyrex)’
They are hollow so that you can insert your finger inside and move it sideways and down as part of your treatment. They are super smooth - especially when a lubricant is used. These dilators can be steam sterilised at temperatures of 135 degrees. Dilators can be used in the bath.
A typical dilator program involves inserting a dilator that is comfortable yet applies some vaginal pressure/stretch. Dilators can be used daily (for approx. 10 mins) while doing relaxation techniques. After this a self stretching program and scar tissue massage can be performed. The goal is to insert the largest size dilator that you need to accomodate (usually the size of your husbands/partners penis) with no pain, stress response, fear/anxiety or embarrassment. For most women this is a size 6 dilator in my set.
A high quality lubricant is recommended to use with the dilators - we recommend any of the lubricants sold in this store.
A personalised program cannot be offered on this website or 100% accurate advice on the correct sizing for you. Please seek the advise of your pelvic floor Physiotherapist if you are seeing one.
Or please Contact Us if you have any questions. I am happy to give advise on which dilator sizes could be more appropriate for you and guide you in your decision.
Size 6 and 7 plus have extra length that can be handy to stretch adhesions/scarring higher up in the vagina.
